This is a mandocello made of chechen, with arched Engelmann spruce sound board. A slightly longer 26 inch scale allows lighter strings (the low C is .064" rather than the usual .073"). This gives it a beautiful pure singing voice with richer overtones and tremendous sustain! Added features include open head stock with Sperzel trim-lok tuners, arm rest, suspended pick guard, stainless steel frets, modern curved F holes, and of course the two points. Supporting all that eye candy are my usual structural features including removable and adjustable neck joint, interior carbon fiber support, modern 2-way truss rod, and zero fret for perfect intonation. I am very proud of this one.
