This is a oval mandolin with carved top and back and F-holes. The body is American sycamore and the top is Sitka spruce.

Construction features my standard adjustable bolt-on neck with zero fret, cantilevered extension over the body, and a modern 2-way adjustable truss rod. The top is braced with Gibson style tone bars. A sound port allows the player to hear better.

Decoration includes a stunning black satin-finish top to show off the gold hardware and pinkish wood veneer pick guard. Ebony bindings and head veneers complement the gold-on-black look.

The sound is huge with way much more overtones than the typical bluegrass mandolin. Excellent for classical or Celtic styles. The action is low and comfortable.
