Number 261
Number 261 is a short scale cittern tuned GDAEA (or GDADA). The 500 mm (19.7 inch) scale is about as short as you can safely go,
making for very easy playing without long stretches. The body is rosewood and the top is Port Orford cedar with rosewood binding
and dark sunburst top for a subtle, uniform appearance. Tone is strong, medium-bright and well balanced. Matching cantilevered
pick guard and arm rest keep you from touching the top, allowing unrestricted vibration. All my usual construction features:
adjustable bolt-on neck, zero fret, internal compression braces, modern two way truss rod, side port, and zero fret for low action.
Perfect for any style, well suited to fast melody work. Price includes hard case.
