Number 216

This is an arch-top octave mandolin made of rare ziricote, with Sitka spruce top and curly maple bindings. Effortless to play because of low action and the short (490mm) scale. A dark mysterious tone results from F-holes, tone bar bracing, and flat-wound EFT76 strings. An arm rest and elevated pick guard minimize sound-robbing contact with the vibrating body. A side port allows the player to hear the sound better. Rubner tuners and cast tailpiece. Great for any style not requiring a bright, piercing tone.
