Number 86
This is a bouzouki I made on commission for Stanley Greenthal
of Seattle. Scale length is 624 mm, a bit shorter than my
standard.
The body is chechen, a wonderful tonewood from Mexico, and
the top is Sitka spruce. The head veneer and bridge are chechen
also to match. Bindings are ebony.
It has my standard features (zero fret, bolt-on adjustable neck,
fingerboard extension over body). Construction is with a
guitar-style pin bridge and X bracing.
The tone is pure and sweet. Stanley likes it, and he's good.
