Number 207
Number 207 is a cutaway tenor guitar made for Roger Landes. The body is myrtle and top is western
red cedar. This instrument has a couple of unique features. The through-neck design provides a
stable structure (you could string it up without the body) and allows very light construction. It
also permits adjusting the action without de-tuning the strings. The fingerboard extension for the
low strings, together with moveable pin-point capos, allows easy re-configuration to play easily in
several keys. To keep the neck a reasonable length, the bass-side strings turn on pulleys enroute
to the tuners. It has proved to be a successful experiment.
