Number 237

Number 237 is an alto mandola (CGDA tuning). The body is rare tropical ziricote and the top is Sitka spruce with prominent "bear claw" pattern. Scale is 415 mm, about 16-1/3 inches. Construction uses Gibson style tone bar bracing, with an oval sound hole. Trim is ebony bindings with white veneer edges, and ziricote arm rest, pick guard, and head veneer. The tone is bright and clear with good sustain. It has all my standard features such as zero fret, side port, adjustable bolt on neck, internal carbon tube compression brace, elevated pick guard and modern two way truss rod. Foam and canvas hard case.
