This stunning mandola is made of makore, an African hardwood (sometimes called African cherry because of its color) which is not endangered. The black top is carved western red cedar.

Construction features include sound port, bolt-on adjustable neck with adjustable truss rod, and carbon tube compression brace.

Decoration features camatillo rosewood head veneer, bindings and pick guard. Gold hardware and black tuner knobs complete the rich gold-and-black look. Finish is gloss water-base lacquer.

The tone is clear and pure, excellent for classical or celtic playing.
