Number 64
This is a mandolin with carved top and back, F-holes, and an
asymmetrical 2-point shape. The body wood is narra and the
top is Sitka spruce.
The sound is very crisp and pure, good for any application
including bluegrass "chops".
The top is braced with Gibson style tone bars and the back is
unbraced except for a center seam splice. The bolt on neck
has a modern 2-way adjustable truss rod.
The head veneers and pick guard are Madagascar rosewood and the
bindings are ebony. Gold hardware, a flaring heastock and
carved "horn" area complete the rich, slightly ornate look.
The finish is buffed water-based lacquer.
The neck is not truly adjustable because I had not fully evolved
my design yet when I made it, so I have reduced the price.
