Number 58
This is a mandolin with carved top and back, F-holes, and an
asymmetrical 2-point shape. The body wood is imbuia and the
top is Engelman spruce. The finish is buffed water-based
lacquer.
The top is braced with Gibson style tone bars and the back is
unbraced except for a center seam splice. The bolt on neck
has a modern 2-way adjustable truss rod.
The gold hardware, Madagascar rosewood head veneers, pick guard,
and bindings complement the rich, slightly ornate look.
The sound is very crisp and punchy, good for any application
including bluegrass "chops".
