Number 85
This is a Dreadnaught guitar made of Brazilian rosewood
and red spruce. it was commissioned by Mitch Roe of the
Roe Family Band. Construction is very traditional with the
early Martin "forward shifted" X bracing. The only departure
from tradition is the cantilevered neck extension and
bolt on neck, so changing the neck angle is easy.
This is a versatile instrument, capable of putting out that big
Dreadnaught sound, but capable of delicacy and restraint also.
Mitch plays it onstage regularly.
