Number 78
s is a Dreadnaught guitar made of Pau Rosa with an old-growth
Alaskan Sitka spruce top. Pau rosa is a beautiful African hardwood
(pau rosa is Portugese for "red wood") which is very dense and hard
similar to a rosewood. It gives a guitar a strong, brilliant
tone.
Design includes a non-traditional asymmetrical X-braced top, a modern
truss rod and a fully adjustable bolt-on neck. The neck has an
"extension" over the soundboard, allowing the entire top to vibrate
and allowing easy removal and adjustment of the neck.
Decoration includes trim and appointments of bloodwood, a dense
New World hardwood known for keeping its red color without fading
or turning dark. Red abalone rectangles mark the finger board
and coordinate with the reddish color scheme. Gold tuners and
a satin finish complete the reddish, organic eook.
This is a great Bluegrass instrument, capable of putting out that big
Dreadnaught sound, but capable of delicacy and restraint also.
