Number 77
This is a traditional Dreadnaught guitar made of mahogany with
a Carpathian spruce top. It has the big "fat" sound typical of
mahogany guitars.
Design includes a traditional X-braced top, a modern
truss rod and a fully adjustable bolt-on neck. The neck has an
"extension" (embedded into a recess in the fingerboard for a more
traditional appearance), allowing the entire top to vibrate
and allowing easy removal and adjustment of the neck.
Decoration includes herringbone purfling and rosette,
zigzag back strip,
and open-gear tuners completing the very traditional look.
The finish is water based lacquer, wet-sanded to a satin finish
except for the top which is buffed to a gloss.
This is a great Bluegrass instrument, putting out that big
Dreadnaught sound, but capable of delicacy and restraint also.
