This is a long scale 2-point cittern with 26 inch scale,tuned dD-gG-dD-aa-dd etc. The body is pink eucalyptus, and the top is Alaskan yellow cedar, with rare camatillo rosewood trim. This is my "stick" design, the tailpiece is attached to a stick running from the neck through the body. The strings tension is borne by the stick, so the instrument is free to vibrate, with the arm rest keeping your arm from damping the sound board. As a result, the top bracing can be extremely light. The entire neck-stick assembly is secured with furniture bolts, easily disassembled, and the neck angle is easily changed. The result is very responsive, loud with pure tone.
