This is a classical "liuto cantabile", a 10-string tuned C-G-D-A-E, but it could also be tuned as a cittern for folk or Irish styles. The 3-piece deep back emulates the sound of bowl-back classical instruments like the calace, while still allowing a bolt-on adjustable neck for future maintainability. The tail piece allows using either ball end guitar strings, or loop end classical sets such as Thomastik. Body is American cherry with Sitka spruce top and cocobolo rosewood trim. Scale is 24-7/8". Tone is clear and pure with long ringing sustain.
