Number 200

#200 is an octave mandolin constructed of non-endangered North American woods. Body is claro walnut, top is Sitka spruce, fingerboard, bindings and bridge are katalox, AKA "Mexican ebody", with walnut-burl veneers. The design is traditional with carved top and back, adjustable bridge, flat fretboard and tone-bar top bracing. Modern touches include "cat eye" f-holes, sealed Gotoh mini tuners, 2-way truss rod, adjustable bolt-on neck joint, and a tailpiece taking ball-end strings. Scale is 540mm or 21-1/4".

Tone is a rich mid-range with good "bark" and no shrillness.
