Number 140
This is a deep-back bouzouki created for Roger Landes. The experimental top is extremely light
lattice-braced red cedar. The bridge is firmly attached to the top, allowing the strings to pass
straight through with almost no downward pressure on the bridge. The result is a powerful instrument
even with light strings. The body is Oregon myrtyle, and eye candy includes camatillo rosewood trim,
gold pearl inlay, and slot-head mandolin tuners. I am continuing to refine the design, based on
Roger's input.
