Number 93
This is a flat top bouzouki with a guitar style pin bridge.
As you might expect, it has a somewhat more "guitar-like"
tone, sweeter and less punchy than other bouzoukis. The
scale is also guitar-like at 648 mm.
The body, head veneer and bridge are beautiful leopardwood,
the hardest and heaviest of several species known as
"lacewood". The top is wild bearclaw Sitka spruce.
Gold hardware, ebony bindings, and an unobtrusive mylar
pick guard complete the black-and-gold look.
Construction features include the usual user-friendly bolt-on
neck and X-bracing of the top to withstand the torque of
this kind of bridge. The neck has a modern 2-way adjustable
truss rod.
On consignment at Down On the Farm Guitars in Lakewood, Colorado.
