Number 91
This is a basic no-frills bouzouki, designed to give the
purchaser the maximum in tone and playability in a fine hand
made instrument at a reasonable cost.
Construction includes all the
usual features, such as a user-friendly bolt-on neck extending
over the body and a modern 2-way truss rod. Bracing is
simple but effective cross-struts, designed to withstand
the downward pressure on the bridge. Grover mini tuners
are excellent quality and also very affordable.
The body is shedua (AKA amazique, AKA ovangkol), a beautiful
African wood which is an excellent tone wood.
The top is Sitka spruce. With no bindings and
a stamped tail piece, this is a fine utilitarian instrument
with a strong and clear tone.
